Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ is Marvel Studios’ first foray into prime-time television. The series, based on the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby comics and created for television by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, stars Clark Gregg, reprising his ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Avengers’ role as secret agent Phil Coulson, who puts together a new team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to tackle unusual cases. The series debuted in the fall of 2013 and often interacts with Marvel’s big-screen features; its status quo shifted significantly after the events of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and Marvel movie stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Jaimie Alexander, and Cobie Smulders have all made cameo appearances.

  • Season 2 Returns: March 2015
