American Horror Story

‘American Horror Story’ is Ryan Murphy’s ongoing anthology horror series; each season tells a self-contained story set in a different location with a different group of characters (but many of the same actors, including Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson). Lady Gaga will appear on the show’s upcoming fifth season, subtitled “Hotel,” which will debut on FX this fall.

But in Blue Jay, Paulson, looking like her natural self, gives a quieter performance as one of her most stripped-down characters yet.
