Now, S.H.I.E.L.D. producers confirm a “Hive”-y new turn for Marvel’s most treacherous Agent, along with an unsettling new photo of the transformation in progress.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spent plenty of time crafting a reveal that its enigmatic “Skye” was in fact the Daisy “Quake” Johnson of Marvel Comics, so could a similar revelation arise for Grant Ward, its other most transformed creation? Simmons herself, Elizabeth Henstridge, may accidentally have spilled the beans on a new Marvel identity for Ward, who wasn’t looking so hot in the first trailer.

It’s hard to believe Agent Carter is already approaching the end of Season 2 (and hopefully just the season), but already Coulson and the modern Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are bursting at the seams to return.
