Back around Christmastime, the well-regarded genre-defiers Radiohead revealed that they had recorded their own theme for the latest James Bond picture, Spectre. It was baffling, not just because their composition was swooningly beautiful, but because the Spectre team ultimately ended up going with Sam Smith, instantly agreed upon as one of the lesser Bond theme singers. But that’s all peanuts compared to the latest gross injustice from the world of film soundtracking, with greater effrontery dealt to an even more esteemed statesman of rock.
At long last, SNL’s momentous 2015 seems to be drawing to a close, ending on a high note with Sisters stars and series alum Tina Fey and Amy Poehler acting as dual hosts alongside Bruce Springsteen. The first promos see the pair retake 30 Rock with SNL’s reigning senior, though things seem to have gone downhill, per Poehler.
SNL bounced back nicely from Donald Trump this past weekend with The Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks, looking even bigger this coming Saturday with Matthew McConaughey and Adele, but December 2015 will really go all out. Our final three hosts of the year include Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth (poor Liam), and best of all, a dual Sisters hosting with SNL alum Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
We're less than a month away from the release of 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' (unless Paramount decides to bump it once again), so we're now pretty close to seeing this long-delayed project. One thing that's been annoying about the delay is that they haven't offered much new footage since the trailers that debuted over a year ago. 'Neil Young' joined Bruce Springsteen to cover LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It" on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' Friday night. The performance was one of four songs Springsteen played to bring the show's "Springsteen Week" to a close.
