Bryce Dallas Howard

Bryce Dallas Howard is the daughter of former actor turned Oscar-winning director Ron Howard and actress/writer Cheryl Howard. She has two younger twin sisters, Jocelyn and Paige Howard. She applied to drama school as Bryce Dallas, dropping her last name to avoid special treatment because of association with her renowned father. From 1999-2003, she studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory and at the New York University Tisch School of Arts and graduated with a BFA degree in Drama in 2003. Young Howard appeared in three of her father’s films as an extra, including her appearance as a child together with her mother in ‘Apollo 13’. Director M. Night Shyamalan was impressed by her performance in a Broadway play and cast her without an audition as a female lead in his two thrillers: ‘The Village’ and ‘Lady in the Water’. She also played Gwen Stacy in the third installment of the Spider-Man franchise, ‘Spider-Man 3' and the female lead, Claire, in ‘Jurassic World’. Howard became a devoted vegan after Joaquin Phoenix showed her a documentary about animal cruelty. On June 17, 2006, in Connecticut, she married her long-term boyfriend, Seth Gabel, who she now has two children together with.

Jurassic World hit Blu-ray and DVD this week, but if you haven’t had a chance (or aren’t planning) to pick it up, a deleted scene has arrived online to give you a stinky sneak peek at what you’re missing. If you were one of the people who had an issue with the relationship between Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire and Chris Pratt’s Owen, this deleted scene isn’t going to make you feel any better about it.

The ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Is Coming in 2018
Sequels, like evolution, are inevitable. Like genetically-modified dinosaurs, they cannot be stopped. When Jurassic World becomes the third highest-grossing movie of all time (not this year, not this decade; ever) you could bet your dino DNA that Universal was going to make another one. And now it’s official: an as-yet untitled Jurassic World sequel is coming to theater on June 22, 2018.

Jurassic World now holds the record for the biggest opening weekend in movie history, with over $208 million in the U.S. and $500 million worldwide in just three days of release. After more than a decade since the last sequel, Jurassic Park fans were clamoring for more dinosaur action. Director Colin Trevorrow gave them exactly what they wanted.

‘Jurassic World’ Review: The Park Is Open and Full of Dumb People
When all you care about is money, bad things happen. That’s the message of Jurassic World, where greedy theme-park executives hoping to spike attendance engineer the “Indominus Rex,” a genetically-modified dinosaur that immediately turns on its creators and runs amok. Designed as a cautionary tale about the dangers of building a meaner, badder monster purely for the sake of profits, Jurassic World works equally well as a cautionary tale about doing the same thing in movies. All of the rationalizations provided by Jurassic World’s employees — “Consumers want them bigger, louder, more teeth.” “Somebody’s gotta make sure this company has a future!” — could have been taken directly out of the mouths of the studio executives who approved this gene splice of a reboot and a sequel. Their creation — the Indominus or the movie, there’s basically no difference — is as advertised; huge, mean, and visually striking. But this experiment is not without consequences.

Bryce Dallas Howard Really Wants to Play Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel is kind of a big deal for the Marvel Cinematic Universe — it’s the studio’s first solo woman superhero movie, and as such, it’s attracted the attention of a few leading ladies. Emily Blunt told us last year that she’d love to play the superhero, while Jessica Chastain has also expressed interest. And now Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard is throwing her name out there, too.

'Jurassic World' Final Trailer: Indominus Rex Has Hatched
The final trailer for Jurassic World takes on a more insidious tone, from the jarring piano score to the shot of baby Indominus Rex hatching interspersed with shots of relentless dino-violence. This is a park built on bad ideas, and Indominus Rex is the worst idea of them all. Welcome to Jurassic World, I guess?

Universal has revealed another new TV spot for Jurassic World, featuring a little bit of new footage from the upcoming sequel — most notably, a dinosaur petting zoo, where park attendees can interact with little, (allegedly) harmless dinosaurs. This whole place is teeming with bad ideas, although the worst is definitely that big bad hybrid dino, Indominus Rex.

New 'Jurassic World' Featurette Remembers 'Jurassic Park'
It’s going to be incredibly difficult not to compare Jurassic World to Jurassic Park, but instead of avoiding those comparisons, director Colin Trevorrow is meeting them head-on. The new featurette draws on nostalgia from the first film, as the cast — along with producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall — ruminate on what made Jurassic Park special, and how it paved the way for the high stakes narrative of Jurassic World.
