Whereas Tom Hanks' Captain Phillips talked, finessed, sweated and went into shock to rescue his crew, Chris Evans' Captain America jumps onto a hijacked boat from a helicopter without a parachute. His liberation of a S.H.I.E.L.D. vessel captured by international terrorists involves flinging himself across the deck; a human pinball with terrorists as his easily neutralized bumpers. Make that a super-human pinball, because as much as Steve Rogers maintains his golly shucks good nature, he is, after all, a Marvel superhero and he's here to save the day in the most preposterous and camera-ready fashion that's possible. Welcome to 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.

Last night's latest 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' episode "End of the Begining" officially kicked the series into high gear with the proper emergence of Deathlok, as well as a few fast-paced reveals, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get even busier with the release of 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' Last night planted quite a few seeds for the epic Cap sequel, and you can check out the first pieces of its 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' crossover right now!

Why Captain America is Now Marvel's Greatest Superhero

Marvel
There's no getting around it: Iron Man is the most popular of the Avengers. Just look at the box office. 'Iron Man' and 'Iron Man 2' both broke $300 million at the domestic box office and 'Iron Man 3' passed $400 million. Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark didn't just put Marvel Studios on the map, he's pretty much kept it on the map. It's safe to say that 'The Avengers' did as well as it did because Iron Man was front and center on all of the posters. People love Iron Man and that's okay.
But, while he's the most popular, he's not the best Marvel cinematic superhero. That honor belongs to Captain America.

When Chris Evans went on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' to plug his work in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' the last thing he probably expected was to be forced into a twisted take on the 'Newlywed Game' with his brother, Scott. But Evans played along, sharing a few hilarious stories and putting his brotherly bond to the test on live television!

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' may have put the titular Winter Soldier in the film's title, but for a while there it seemed that Marvel didn't want to reveal who was playing that character (even if it was obvious to those who know the comic books and those who checked the cast listings). Now that we're approaching the film's release, they're officially letting that cat out of the bag.

Marvel is super busy in the poster department today: we've got not one, but two brand-new posters for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' and both are pretty interesting for different reasons. First up is an art poster Marvel commissioned from Paolo Rivera, featuring the entire cast, and we've also got a look at star Emily VanCamp as Agent 13, who received her very own character poster!
