Whatever your politics, the most recent election has celebs contemplating runs for office. Whether Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or Kanye, someone from the entertainment world might make a legitimate 2020 bid, and Stephen Colbert may have used his Late Show trip to Russia for the announcement.

Fifty years of Star Trek means endless tweaks to Gene Roddenberry’s idyllic vision of the future, and Star Trek: Discovery will add a major one. Despite a prior franchise mandate, the new CBS iteration will apparently allow Starfleet crew to actually conflict with one another; not just alien warships.

Star Trek: Discovery at last provided us with a September premiere, but more than a few details of the series itself remain hazy. The trailer seemed to imply some Vulcan origins for Sonequa Martin-Green’s leading role; now explained by the Walking Dead alum herself.

At long last, CBS’ Star Trek: Discovery finally commit to a September premiere after delays from January, to May and beyond. The departure of showrunner Bryan Fuller was an understandable setback, but Fuller’s replacements now explain the delays, owing to “artistry and custom craftsmanship,” along with a brand-new bridge.

We’ve waited patiently for months, and CBS is finally rewarding us with a discovery. Star Trek: Discovery, that is, as the network at last confirms a September premiere date for the new TV iteration, along with word of a divided run.

Supergirl certainly had adjustments to make in transition from CBS to The CW for Season 2, but further changes lie in store for Season 3. Now that production has moved firmly north, The CW confirms Season 3 will fall into new hands.

The first trailer for CBS’ Star Trek: Discovery certainly won back goodwill lost by multiple delays and showrunner Bryan Fuller’s exit, but it remains to be seen how much of Fuller’s ideas will make the final product. Now, executive producer Alex Kurtzman lays out how Fuller’s influence will be felt in the first season, as well as a second.

Drunk Uncle has officially sobered up, at least for the time being. CBS’ official pickup of SNL star Bobby Moynihan’s new generational sitcom Me, Myself & I will indeed cement his exit from the NBC sketch comedy series after Season 42’s finale this week.
