‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ ups the stakes with the latest episode by bringing in Dracula to its fictional (but historically set) world, as Leonardo must free a man from the famed vampire. That’s a pretty good hook for an episode, and tonight’s ‘Demons’ is one of the best so far.
Starz's 'Da Vinci's Demons' has delivered the action and sex we'd expect from this sort of cable show, but as we move into the back half of the first season, we're hoping tonight's episode "The Tower" starts to put the pieces in place for the finale. Will Leonard Da Vinci go to the new world? Will Lucrezia get caught as the spy? We shall see.
We’re now four episodes in on ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ and the show has proved that it’s definitely worth watching. Though it fits into the rough mold of most pay-cable shows by featuring action and a soupcon of nudity, Tom Riley's Leonardo Da Vinci is a fascinating character, and the season (which is now half over) is building well. Tonight's episode "The Magician" continues the adventure and intrigue.
‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ has, so far, promised a lot and mostly delivered on the premise of Leonardo Da Vinci as fifteenth century bad-ass. He’s smart, he gets all the chicks, he can fight, and yet because he’s Leonardo Da Vinci, he’s still pretty likeable. And with an eight episode order for the first season, it’s likely the series is working much more as a mini-series than your standard issue episodic show, as each episode so far has done a good job of moving the ball forward. Tonight’s episode “The Prisoner” is more episodic than the previous episodes, but still engaging.
We knew Leonardo Da Vinci to be brilliant, but talk about speedy! This past Friday saw Starz highest-rated debut to date with the David S.
