After having spent seven years on 'Californication,' David Duchovny is returning to his detecting (and network television) roots as he's signed on to lead NBC's 'Aquarius.' There he'll be playing a police detective who's on the trail of Charles Manson and his cult members.

Moving through the end of the year into 2014 always promises to be an eventful quarter for Showtime, bringing back our sinful Sundays with 'Shameless,' 'House of Lies' and 'Californication,' but not for long. The network confirmed that David Duchovny's 'Californication' will wrap up the series with its upcoming seventh and final season, beginning in April 2014.
