Jason Voorhees’ Friday the 13th future has proven a bit difficult to hack through, between multiple reboots of style and story, and even a Crystal Lake Chronicles TV series in development. Things may have cleared on the TV side at least, as The CW is apparently developing a more straight-forward adaptation of Friday the 13th.
Just when you thought the latest 'Friday the 13th' reboot news had beaten a dead horse into dust, TV is hockey-masking up for a few shots, as well. 'Friday the 13th' is officially moving forward with a new hourlong TV series set across "multiple time periods," with 'Terminator' and 'Avatar' writers on board to bring Jason Voorhees to life once more.
First, there's a strange question: how and why are Warner Bros. and Paramount co-producing Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic, 'Interstellar'? Then there's the strange answer: because Warner Bros. wanted to be part of Nolan's next film so much that they were willing to give another studio the rights to future 'Friday the 13th' and 'South Park' movies to make it happen.
