‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 conjures its eighth episode of the season, “The Mountain and the Viper,” as Tyrion's trial finally comes to pass with a shocking conclusion, while Daenerys discovers a traitor in her midst, and Sansa faces a difficult decision on Petyr Baelish.

'Game of Thrones' may have taken this past week off for Memorial Day, but this coming Sunday will more than make up for it, kicking off the final three episodes of season 4 with an epic duel between "The Mountain and the Viper." Tyrion's trial is far from the only item of interest in the full set of photos however, as Jorah looks to be in hot water with Dany, and Arya and the Hound finally reach their new destinations.
You know, for a series as intricate and continuity-dependent as HBO's 'Game of Thrones,' the acclaimed adaptation of writer George R.R. Martin's work doesn't mind making a few major recasts along the way. Most notably, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is set to take up the role of Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane in season 4, inherited from Ian Whyte and in turn Conan Stevens. While we wait, check out a first look at Björnsson in character!
Last week we were shocked to learn that 'Game of Thrones' season 4 had tapped 'Treme' star Michiel Huisman' to replace Ed Skrein in the prominent role of Daario Naharis, though it seems the George R.R. Martin-adapted HBO drama has made a mountain of another replacement. Icelandic actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson will take over the role of Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane, a role that had itself already once been recast, so why all the change?
