This is perhaps one of the greatest unanswered questions of the modern, grittier era of Batman. And judging by this new photo from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the answer appears to be: nope.

Judging by images alone, you would think that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is actually just a clothing catalogue for privileged vigilantes and alien superheroes. There’s so much pensive staring and gloomy brooding and handsome, chiseled faces in nice jackets and expensive button-ups. All that’s missing is a caption with a price tag and one-click ordering.

At least part of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman movie takes place during World War I, which would indicate that at least some of her solo adventure serves as a prequel. But before we get to that film, Gadot will make her debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where — according to new details — she’ll find herself pulled out of retirement to fight once again. In addition to the latest intel on Diana Prince, we also have some new images from the epic superhero film, including one that appears to tease DC supervillain Darkseid.

As Sundance dominated the news cycle this morning, the superhero hype machine continued to grind along. This morning, it spat out a new trailer for the upcoming DC crossover tentpole Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it just might be the darkest (in terms of deficient lighting and overall tone) yet. The eternal philosophical struggle of men both Bat- and Super- rages on, incapable of finally resolving because both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne are inside all of us. Henry Cavill’s ridiculous costume glasses: What do they symbolize? Man’s inability to hide his true self, always exposing his nature through non-conscious gestures? Or perhaps they are just a symbol of bad glasses?

I honestly cannot believe they’re pronouncing that title “Batman Vee Superman.” When they announced that DC’s mega-hero tussle would be called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I assumed it was just quirky branding, and I haven’t met a single person who didn’t call it “Batman Versus Superman” in casual conversation.

On the heels of the two new TV spots for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes a new look at Suicide Squad, David Ayer’s take on the rag-tag team of super-villains who come together to defeat a threat far more villainous than their powers combined. In addition to the new photo, Ayer and Ben Affleck tease Batman’s cameo in the upcoming film, while Zack Snyder, Affleck and Henry Cavill talk Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman and the future of the DCU.

Following the debut of the first official TV spot, Warner Bros. has released another spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, this one expanding upon a scene previously teased in the trailer, in which Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent and Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne have a not-so-meet-cute at a party. While the first spot featured our heroes clashing a bit more aggressively in costume, this one offers a passive-aggressive meeting between the two men as their civilian alter-egos, interrupted by that weasel Lex Luthor.

Just one look is all it takes for Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel to send the Batmobile conveniently careening into boxes of Gotham City gas (they keep gas in boxes there? What kind of city is this?). The latest TV spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is more of a clip, really, and shows us a brief glimpse of the scene in which Superman wrecks the Batmobile and the pair of heroes glare at each other…a lot.

Watching the trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, you wouldn’t be crazy to assume that Zack Snyder’s superhero showdown film appears to be addressing the criticisms of Man of Steel — namely, the oft-repeated complaint that Snyder’s first Superman film depicted the hero as rather oblivious or uncaring of the resultant mass destruction from his battle with Zod. But according to Henry Cavill, if there appears to be some acknowledgement of that criticism in Batman v Superman, it’s not intentional.
