Happy Deadpool trailer (aka Christmas) eve, everyone! Ahead of tomorrow’s new trailer debut during the NBA on ESPN, 20th Century Fox has premiered a brief teaser with the help of none other than Wolverine — sorry, Ryan Reynolds, but Hugh Jackman stole your thunder and posted the teaser himself.

The account of Eddie the Eagle’s inspirational flight provides fodder for the upcoming sports picture appropriately titled Eddie the Eagle. Taron Egerton, fresh off of a hot year with roles in Kingsman, Testament of Youth, and Legend, steps in to portray the quixotic athlete Edwards, and he’ll joined by Hugh Jackman as the fictitious Bronson Peary, a former great who sees potential in this upstart and agrees to coach young Eddie. Christopher Walken will also appear in the film, directed by Wild Bill’s Dexter Fletcher.

Hugh Jackman has remained steadfast that the upcoming third Wolverine movie will be the next and last time he plays the iconic X-man on film, after sitting out the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. It’s Jackman’s last outing as the beloved X-Men character, and it makes sense that the actor would want to deliver the best possible story for Logan yet. We know the plot is (somewhat) based on Mark Millar’s Old Man Logan comic, but as Jackman reveals, there were a couple of things in particular that his fans really want to see.

After the previous promotional images and trailers for Joe Wright’s slightly-delayed Pan movie, you probably don’t even need to see these new character posters to have an idea of what they’d look like. Even though he previously said he’d love to play the character until he dies, Hugh Jackman has recently maintained that The Wolverine 2 will mark his final appearance as the iconic character.
