It’s been an unusual fall for broadcast TV, trimming orders without a single cancellation as of early November, but at last NBC has broken the seal on renewals. Not only will “Jaimie Alexander Naked in a Bag” drama Blindspot return for a second season, so too has NBC confirmed renewals for two of its major Chicago series.
Did you guess that NBC’s “Throw Naked Jaimie Alexander in a Bag, Then Have Her Beat People Up” would prove a reasonable hit? It’s your lucky day! After a reasonable ratings start to the season NBC has officially given Blindspot an additional nine episodes for a full-season order through May 2016.
As CBS’ Supergirl and others caught the brunt of earlier this year, TV’s pilot season has been increasingly difficult to keep under wraps, assuming you trust the veracity of “leaks” to begin with. In any case, FOX’s Minority Report and Lucifer, along with NBC’s Blindspot and others have officially become the latest victims.
HBO’s geopolitical comedy The Brink seemed somewhat touch-and-go for a bit, as Dwayne Johnson’s Ballers picked up a Season 2 renewal, while Brink’s all-star cast of Tim Robbins, Jack Black and Aasif Mandvi drew closer to expiring contracts. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. assembles its 12th Season 2 installment with “Who You Really Are,” as Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) is discovered on Earth with no memory of her objective, leading to a surprisingly alien revelation, while Bobbi and Mack find their secret mission threatened.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. well full-on Inhuman with this past week's 2015 premiere "Aftershocks," but now the Avengers-adjacent series will go Asgardian once more to return Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) to the fold. Find out if Sif remembers "Who You Really Are" with the full set of photos and trailer from next Tuesday's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!
Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' will hit the ground running with its 'Inhumans' element in March 3 return "Aftershocks," but the subsequent week will return to a more familiar corner of the MCU, and with a fan-favorite at that.
