Now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has arrived in theaters, it’s time to start looking forward to another epic superhero battle. Up until Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye didn’t have a whole lot to do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making him something of an extraneous character. It’s unclear just how much of a part Hawkeye will have in Captain America: Civil War given the crowded slate of characters, but there is one place where Renner’s hero could take the spotlight: Netflix. Although Marvel currently has no plans to give their MCU stars a spinoff series, Renner says he’d be game to take Hawkeye to the small screen.

When you say the words “Rocky” and “boxing” together, you think of one of two things: Sylvester Stallone, or how much you want to see Creed again right now. Jeremy Renner would like you to forget about all of that, and in a bid to get in on some of that Cash with a capital C, the actor is banking on your interest in boxing movies featuring guys named Rocky, or maybe he just hopes to confuse you into seeing his next movie.

Remember Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters? A dumb idea on paper that seemed appropriately dumb in execution, but made enough money internationally to theoretically drag poor Jeremy Renner into a sequel? Well, ol’ Hawkeye may have been let off the hook, as Paramount is reportedly scrapping its sequel plans in favor of a TV series.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War – Part I hitting theaters within a year of one another, it seemed likely that we might see at least some of the Guardians gang appear alongside the Avengers team. And that’s a wrap…for now. Captain America: Civil War has completed principal filming, and now the post-production process (and our long march to next May) begins. The film shot primarily at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, with additional filming taking place in Berlin (hello, Baron Zemo) and Puerto Rico. The news was delivered by Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito, while additional, supplementary filming will likely occur sometime over the next few months or so.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 2 seems like one of the more unlikely sequel developments in recent years, but perhaps Paramount is seizing on the increased popularity of Jeremy Renner…or something. Like many commercial directors before him, Bruno Aveillan will leap from TV commercials to commercial filmmaking, as he’s just been tapped to helm the new sequel.

Alec Baldwin is just four years older than Tom Cruise. In the mid-’90s, they were both action stars. When the first Mission: Impossible movie came out in 1996, it would not have been inconceivable in the slightest for Baldwin to play super-spy Ethan Hunt; Baldwin was the first actor to play the role of super-spy Jack Ryan in 1990’s The Hunt For Red October; in 1994, he headlined a pair of big Hollywood productions, The Shadow and The Getaway.
