Looks like Warner Bros. and DC are serious about this Green Lantern Corps movie, as the film now has a shortlist of potential Hal Jordan contenders. The movie is being billed as a kind of sci-fi buddy cop flick, with Jordan and his fellow human Lantern John Stewart (no, not that one) palling around the cosmos and fighting crime. Now that the movie has found is writers, the next task is to cast it, and today we know who might be playing one of the main characters.

There’s only so much left to say of FOX’s 2016 X-Files revival until the thing actually premieres on January 24, but by gum, FOX is going to give it a whirl. Six seasons and a mini-reunion? We wouldn’t recommend holding your breath for news of another Community season, or the long-awaited movie, but series star Ken Jeong at least found a place for some of the Greendale Gang. Both Joel McHale and Danny Pudi will drop by their fellow alumnus’ ABC sitcom Dr. Ken, and things might get meta from there.
E!’s The Soup, or its previous iteration has long run as a staple of pop culture commentary, but it seems Joel McHale might be out of a job once more. The network has decided to send back The Soup after 22 seasons and 12 years of McHale as host, effectively ending the franchise, at least for the moment.
