We admit to being a trifle disappointed the Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD' Comic-Con 2013 poster released earlier today, but it seems the Joss Whedon-directed TV series had a much bigger surprise in store for the day. Veteran composer Bear McCreary ('The Walking Dead,' 'Battlestar Galactica') has signed on to score the 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series, and revealed a bit of how Agent Coulson inspires the show's heroic theme.

So, which of Marvel's upcoming slate will have the most direct tie into 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?' Why, 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' says series star Clark Gregg!

We realize that the prospect of a 'Firefly' shocker a decade after the show had been cancelled seems like a bit of a stretch, but a recently-revealed bit of trivia from Joss Whedon has proven too good to ignore. In promoting 'Much Ado About Nothing,' Whedon revealed his own past Shakespearean ambitions for 'Firefly,' having once envisioned an episode guest starring 'Buffy' / 'Angel' alum and Whedon favorites Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, and James Marsters!

It's not as if there had been any doubt that ABC and Marvel's Joss Whedon-directed 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' would prove the Comic-Con 2013 TV event of the summer, but at last we have confirmation of when and where fans can fight to attend the official panel. Additionally, ABC's 'Once Upon A Time' spinoff 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' will make its presence known, but who from either series will show up at Comic-Con 2013?
