HBO's 'The Newsroom' has never quite earned creator Aaron Sorkin the acclaim of its TV predecessors, but we'll be sad to see it go all the same when the first of a final 6 episodes premiere on November 9. Our latest behind-the-scenes look at season 3 confirms that the topical drama will tackle government whistle-blowers, also revealing that 'The Office' star B.J. Novak will join Kat Dennings among the major guest stars for the season.
Problematic though Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has proven, the recent announcement that Jaimie Alexander will put in an appearance as ‘Thor’’s Lady Sif has us excited for Marvel’s TV adventure all over again. So we had to wonder, what other Marvel Cinematic Universe characters could ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ attract, from a purely practical standpoint? And how might they figure into the story?
The movie may be called 'Thor: The Dark World,' and fans are certainly buying tickets to see Thor and Loki get into some serious Asgardian action, but it's the women of the film who are really kicking ass. The clever Jane Foster, the warrior Sif, Thor's mom, and even comedic relief Darcy are dialed into the action much more this time around, giving them equal stature among their male counterparts and proving once again that when it comes to female heroes, Marvel does it right.
