The Taylor family takes a vacation to the Grand Canyon, but they bring back more than cherished memories and sun poisoning; an angry Native American spirit (which is a weak and culturally questionable stock villain we were really supposed to be better than by now, but moving on) intent on first leaving greasy handprints on everything in their otherwise immaculate home, then taking over li’l Mikey’s body and dribbling blood out the boy’s mouth.

Like Sinister before it, Blumhouse Productions’ new horror film also boasts a famous leading man — this time Kevin Bacon — coping with something supernatural that’s tormenting his family. The Darkness incorporates Native American mythology, a creepy kid and some mysterious black handprints in the company’s latest bid to spook you senseless. And if that doesn’t sound too appealing, The Darkness comes from Greg McLean, the director of beloved Aussie horror flick Wolf Creek.

Well, it worked for Ash vs. Evil Dead, and we’ve more than breached the Age of the Legacyquel, so why shake things up for Tremors? That’s right, the worm has turned on the 1990 cult classic once more, getting the TV reboot treatment with Kevin Bacon finally set to reprise his role.

Kevin Bacon has a new movie coming out this month called Cop Car (a film directed by Jon Watts, the man behind the upcoming Spider-Man movie). To promote that movie, Bacon filmed a new PSA calling for more male nudity in films. And, just in case you think there’s not much room for male nudity in PG-13 superhero movies, Bacon has a solution for that and he’s calling out Marvel.

It seems that Kevin Bacon may not be aware that the Tremors franchise continued on in his absence. The actor starred in the first film back in 1990, but there were four more sequels and a TV series that followed. But now that FOX has cancelled The Following, Bacon has some time on his hands, and he’s thinking that he would totally be down to make another Tremors movie.

Fox has canceled the grisly police procedural series The Following, which officially makes the upcoming season finale a series finale. Jimmy Fallon must have some kind of death wish -- after all, what sort of nut would ban dancing from their 'Tonight Show' and then invite Kevin Bacon on as a guest? There's a historical precedent here that's hard to ignore. Kevin Bacon loves dancing. You can't take dancing away from Kevin Bacon. Step back. Or, rather, get back.

In 1984, a little movie called 'Footloose' captivated audiences with its tale of a tiny conservative town that banned dancing, and the one guy who gave them their groove back.
