We lost an incomparable actress, writer, icon, and amazing human being when Carrie Fisher passed away on December 27, 2016. No one is feeling that loss as deeply as those closest to her, and in the days since Fisher’s passing, we’ve had the privilege of reading and hearing some of their remembrances. Today, Mark Hamill has shared his own personal tribute to Fisher, offering a touching, humorous and appropriately candid essay for his Star Wars co-star and longtime friend.

With Carrie Fisher’s death came an overwhelming amount of tributes and love from her friends and co-stars. A ton of celebrities took to social media to share their grief and funny anecdotes with the rest of us, including many who had known her in a galaxy far, far away. Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in the new Star Wars trilogy, shared a photo of Fisher and Mark Hamill on his Facebook page.

The Flash has only defined a select number of Earths outside of the 52 we know to exist, but tonight’s winter finale “The Present” will get us up to speed a bit more on Earth-3, home to John Wesley Shipp’s Jay Garrick. In the wake of this week’s election results, much of the country was left shocked by what’s perceived as one of the biggest cultural shifts in recent memory. Luke Skywalker’s reveal at the end of The Force Awakens was one of the coolest parts of the movie, and it helped that Mark Hamill and Mark Hamill’s Bushy Goatee looked appropriately distinguished, for a Jedi who’s been living alone on an island for... however long he’s been there. But now, it sounds like his costume redesign for Episode 8 will be taking him in a considerably less-distinguished direction. (Be warned, minor spoilers may be ahead for those who want the new getup to be a surprise.)

The Flash has paid homage to its original 1990 TV incarnation about thrice over by now, but with John Wesley Shipp finally joining the race, it was only a matter of time before things got tricky once more. Looks like Mark Hamill is in on the joke, as fresh set photos reveal the Trickster’s new look in Season 3.

At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, the next slate of DC Animated films for 2017 was released, which consists of Justice League Dark, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract and an original feature by Bruce Timm called Batman and Harley Quinn. But it sounds like more may be on the way, if Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy have any say in the matter.
