Well, if ever we showed disappointment with Game of Thrones Season 6 snoozing its way through Comic-Con without a hint of casting, the world of Westeros is more than making up for it. On the heels of adding Ian McShane, Game of Thrones has added Star Wars star and the all-around prolific Max von Sydow to the cast, and we actually know his role!

We still know next-to-nothing about 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' but with a production this massive and anticipated, the rumor mill never stops churning. The next batch of information about J.J. Abrams' top secret sequel concerns the identity of certain characters, information about a few key locations, and the possible disfigurement of everyone's favorite Wookiee. It's happened: they've officially announced the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode 7.' We knew that original trilogy stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher would be returning to the roles that made their careers, but it's the new cast members that have us really excited. It's going to be nice to see Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa reunited on the big screen, but it's going to be truly exciting to see what characters director J.J. Abrams will create from scratch.
The new cast members are a fantastic combo of established character actors, on-the-rise stars, living legends and complete unknowns. 'Star Wars: Episode 7' has finally announced its cast after a long process that has spanned months of speculation and rumors. The stars of the original trilogy - Mark Hamill, Harrison FordCarrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker - have finally been confirmed, and they'll be joined by newcomers to the franchise Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Max von Sydow, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis and Domhnall Gleeson.
