Lest you think Piper was ever getting out of prison, Netflix has added three more terms to her sentence. That’s right, Orange is the New Black has been renewed for three more seasons, locking down the ladies of Litchfield through 2019 with Seasons 5, 6 and 7.

It’s a tale as old as TV, one show giving rise to a mega-star among the ranks, and Gilmore Girls has had its share both before and after Melissa McCarthy. Sadly, it doesn’t appear as if the Ghostbusters star will reprise her role as Sookie St. James for Netflix’s long-heralded Gilmore revival, according to a chilly tweet from the star.

We still don’t yet have a proper trailer for House of Cards Season 4, one month out from its release, not that Frank Underwood’s presidency has lacked for secrets. Now, we can throw another on the pile, as Suicide Squad and The Killing vet Joel Kinnaman joins Season 4 in a mysterious new role, teased only through a photo.

Netflix added another bankable success to its brand of sketch comedy reviving W/ Bob and David, and if they’re ever going to fulfill plans to double down on original content, they’ll need a sketch comedy all their own. Enter The Characters, a new eight-part sketch series with guest stars from SNL, Broad City and more.

Apart from a showrunner, Marvel’s Iron Fist development will begin and end with the casting of its title hero, a prospect that has already drawn some controversy. Official announcements might arrive any day, though Luke Cage and Jessica Jones star Mike Colter says the actor behind Netflix’s Daniel Rand has already been chosen.

We’re still waiting on a proper trailer for House of Cards Season 4, but Netflix is already taking major political swings. Frank Underwood (and hopefully Claire) will officially return for Season 5 in 2017, albeit without series showrunner Beau Willimon.

Marvel has revealed precious little of its Netflix Iron Fist to date, casting under lock and key with showrunner Scott Buck. That said, we may have a clue toward the writing staff (as well as its implications for Jessica Jones), as producer Scott Reynolds may have spilled the beans on his involvement.
