Mark Wahlberg is heading back into buddy cop comedy territory, but this time with a rom-com twist. The actor, who previously buddied up to Will Ferrell in the cop comedy The Other Guys, has joined Partners, a film described in the vein of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, with Wahlberg answering to an agent from the FBI who just happens to be a woman.
CBS can be a difficult mistress to predict, what with ratings-gobbling powerhouses like 'The Big Bang Theory' (last night breaking its all-time high with over 17 million viewers), and yet buzzing Monday comedies like 'Partners' falling by the wayside. Now, it seems the eye has officially ended its partnership with 'Partners,' pulling the plug to make its second cancellation of the season. Then again, what about 'Partners' ratings suggests it might not have deserved to be cancelled?
