When you hear the name Sam Raimi, you think of one of two things: 'Evil Dead' or 'Spider-Man.' The last thing you might imagine Raimi directing is a film based on a novel by the author who wrote 'Silver Linings Playbook,' but that's exactly what it seems he's planning to do next. Always keep 'em guessing.

In a surprise move, this year's Screen Gems Comic-Con panel turned most of its attentions and energies to a film without a cast, a director, or a script in place: the long-teased 'The Last of Us' feature film. The film was officially announced back in March, and producer Sam Raimi and video game creator Neil Druckmann (who is now officially on board to write the script for the film) popped up at this afternoon's panel to talk about the feature film as part of Screen Gems' future-leaning panel.

Sam Raimi was on hand at Comic-Con 2014 today for the Screen Gems panel, where he discussed his involvement in the upcoming adaptation of the 'Last of Us' video game. But that's not all he discussed: seems like Raimi isn't quite done with 'Evil Dead,' the film franchise that kickstarted his career. While we won't be seeing another Raimi-directed 'Evil Dead' film anytime soon, we will be seeing more 'Evil Dead' ... on the small screen.
