You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who wasn't disappointed with 'Silent Hill: Revelation,' but to the film's credit, it certainly got Pyramid Head right. The iconic villain from the 'Silent Hill' movie series and video game franchise is one of the most visually striking and terrifying horror characters in recent memory, so it's only appropriate that we celebrate Halloween today with some absolutely stunning cosplay depicting the character in all of his (its?) brutal glory.

'Silent Hill: Revelation 3D' Review

As far as sub-literate, incomprehensible pieces of garbage are concerned, 'Silent Hill: Revelation 3D' is one of the year's best.
With an asinine plot, risible dialogue and atrocious acting, this sequel to a half-remembered video game adaptation still manages to provide a great number of base thrills with its nightmarish imagery. As such it is a quagmire of dread both within and without, disturbing to watch and to think about. This makes for a strange alchemy: in time you identify with the lead character (a young woman in peril) not because you are engaged with the film, but because enduring such an atrocity becomes its own act of survival. How 'bout that for a neat trick, eh?

Kit Harington Interview: 'Game of Thrones' Star Talks 'Silent Hill: Revelation' and Season 3

Game of Thrones’ fans were heartbroken to hear that one of the series' leads, Kit Harington, had to bail a few days before the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel earlier this year due to an ankle injury. But that just made his appearance at New York Comic-Con that much more exciting.
Earlier in the convention, Harington joined his big-screen co-star Adelaide Clemens in the IGN theater at Manhattan's Javits Center to promote ‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ along with writer/director Michael J. Bassett and producer Samuel Hadida. Making his big-screen debut in this film, Harington plays Vincent, a mysterious character pulled pretty much directly out of the video game series. Although not much was revealed about Vincent at the panel -- 'cause anything more than a vague description was said to spoil the plot -- Bassett did mention that "If you know the game, you’ll know Vincent."
Also in the works for Harington is his continued role in the upcoming 'Game of Thrones' season 3, premiering March 31, 2013, where we'll get to see him again as the ever-popular Jon Snow along with his new co-star Ciaran Hinds (playing Mance Rayder). I had a chance to chat with Kit Harington about, among other things, ‘Silent Hill: Revelation,’ making his first venture into film, some off-screen shenanigans, and, of course, the much-anticipated ‘Game of Thrones’ season 3.

If you decided to check out the ‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ panel through the New York Comic Con live stream, then you’ll know what we’re talking about when we say the place was packed with herds of Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington-loving fans (some of which previously knocked over pole barriers trying to hold in their excitement in line). The NYCC 2012 panel, hosted by Fangoria Magazine Editor Tony Timpone was held in the IGN theater of the NYC Javits Center, and, besides the two leading actors, featured writer/director Michael J. Bassett and producer Samuel Hadida.

A few months ago, Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego was packed with comic book nerds, cosplayers, TV and movie fanatics, and members of the press, all of whom were bustling from location to location trying to see as many events and panels as possible. Though we aimed to give you the best possible recaps of everything that happened during the private panels for 'The Walking Dead,' 'Game of Thrones,' Marvel Studios and the like, it sure would have made our jobs a lot easier to watch them streaming live from our laptops. That's something New York Comic-Con is trying to do better this year.
