Yesterday, we brought you the first look at the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' from the upcoming Michael Bay-produced reboot. It was all, well, pretty encouraging! They looked, as we noted at the time, about as good as you could expect. Those images were since taken down at the request of Paramount, but today we have another new look at the Ninja Turtles and...it's a lot less encouraging. Actually, they're pretty creepy.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
We've seen a lot of images that were reported to be the "first look" at the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' movie (including some Halloween costumes that were completely off), but last night the real deal appeared online. A few spy shots leaked to Reddit including your first look at Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and Shredder. And, you know what? They don't look horrible!
The turtles are back in an all-new remake of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,' produced by 'Transformers 4' helmer Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman. But don't expect that classic "bouncy cartoon feel," though. Star William Fichtner, playing Shredder in the film, recently opened up about the new take on the turtles and the villain, revealing that this could be the start of more to come.
In 1990, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles went from animated to live-action with their first feature film. 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' follows a quartet of mutated vigilante turtles as they try to help save New York City from a gang known as the Foot Clan, led by the evil Shredder. The film spawned two sequels, and a new live-action film is on the way from producer Michael Bay.
Twenty-three years after the Ninja Turtles first graced the big screen, we take a look at the cast of the film and see what they're up to now.
There's an art to choosing a film's release date, particularly when you're dealing with big summer tentpoles that could spawn a franchise and need the perfect placement. What date would be perfect for the upcoming remake/reboot of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'? We're not sure, but it looks like Paramount decided to make a change and have pushed the film back a few months.
Production on the Michael Bay-produced 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' is heating up in NYC, as seen through the countless paparazzi pics of Megan Fox and the pre-CGI turtles swarming out from the set. And more keep coming by the day, but the latest batch revealed one big-haired surprise for us -- THE Whoopi Goldberg.
The Michael Bay-produced 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot has already begun filming in NYC. We've already seen photos of Megan Fox's April O'Neil, Will Arnett, a few henchmen and the first pics of the pre-CGI turtles themselves. Though, there's still at least one more role to fill and that's for new addition William Fichtner.
When Megan Fox was cast as April O'Neil in the upcoming 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot, the reaction was...mixed. And by "mixed" we mean, mixed between people hating it and people really hating it. Today, however, we have the first look at Megan Fox in character as April on the 'Ninja Turtles' set and maybe it'll change your mind. Maybe? (Probably not.)
