With the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving ahead full bore and Warner Bros. actively developing the expansion of the DC universe, Sony Pictures is looking to create their own mini-universe centered around Spider-Man. Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-Chairman Amy Pascal spoke today and revealed they have plans to create a number of new films based on "new heroes and villains" from the Spider-Man universe.
Hans Zimmer, who composed such movie scores as 'Man of Steel' and Christopher Nolan's 'Dark Knight' trilogy, is next tackling 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' picking up after James Horner's work on the first Marc Webb-directed installment.
