If you've seen 'This Is the End' (or can just imagine a movie where Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill and Jay Baruchel are all co-starring together), you can imagine what the outtakes must've been like. Six of the funniest dudes around just coming up with weird s--- to make each other laugh. And that's pretty much what the 'This Is the End' gag reel is - funny dudes making each other laugh.

Is the Era of the Blockbuster Coming to an End?

There was definitely something apocalyptic about the 2013 summer movie season, and we’re not just talking about the movies themselves.
While major releases, like ‘This Is the End,’ ‘Oblivion,’ ‘Pacific Rim‘ and ‘Elysium,’ dealt with the end of the world, Hollywood appeared to be on the verge of collapse out in the real world. Films that looked like surefire hits flopped; surefire disasters proved to be more disastrous than everyone predicted; the handful of films without numbers in their titles stumbled; and, from the sidelines, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas smirked, shrugged and predicted the end of the moviegoing experience as we know it.
So, what exactly happened here? More importantly, what does this mean for the future of studio filmmaking? It’s easy to imagine Hollywood looking at what happened this summer and learning plenty of lessons; but, maybe, not always the right ones.

Although we think 'This is the End' is currently the highlight of the summer, the mere thought of a 'This Is the End 2' has us scratching our heads. After all, the film literally opens with the world ending and descending into a nightmarish apocalypse (before having a very, very definitive ending). But don't tell that to Evan Goldberg, who co-wrote and co-directed the film alongside Seth Rogen. It appears that they have an idea or two of where they could take things for the sequel. [Spoilers ahead...]

After months of feverish anticipation and a marketing campaign that left everyone at ScreenCrush practically speechless, 'Man of Steel' has arrived (amidst a flurry of mixed reviews) and taken its place at the top of the box office chart. Although the latest Superman film broke June box office records, it's yet to be seen whether or not the film is truly prepared for the long road ahead.

This is the way the world ends; not with a whimper but with an extended improv session featuring Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and a fleet of other popular young comics. On an ordinary night in Los Angeles, the straight-up-biblical apocalypse begins. After the Rapture, our six heroes board themselves up in Franco's Hollywood mansion and wait for a rescue. It never comes. Supplies dwindle. Tensions mount. 'This Is the End.'

'This Is the End' has one of the most meta concepts in recent memory. Seth Rogen, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill and Jay Baruchel play themselves, holed up in Franco's home while the apocalypse rages outside. It sounds like a recipe for either big laughs or disaster (although early buzz suggests the former), but two clips have arrived to give us a taste of what the finished film will feel like.

'This is the End' Featurette: James Franco Plays a Character Named James Franco

One of the gimmicks behind Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's 'This is the End' is that the cast is loaded with celebrities playing themselves. But that gets interesting when you have a performer like James Franco, whose life has become an art project. In this new featurette, you can see how the actors approached playing themselves.
