'This Is the End' has one of the most meta concepts in recent memory. Seth Rogen, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill and Jay Baruchel play themselves, holed up in Franco's home while the apocalypse rages outside. It sounds like a recipe for either big laughs or disaster (although early buzz suggests the former), but two clips have arrived to give us a taste of what the finished film will feel like.

The first of them (shown above) is a full scene from the film, following the crew of movie stars as they examine what supplies they have, which is mostly beer and marijuana, before Franco and Hill cause a raucous. If you liked Rogen and co-writer Evan Goldberg's work in 'Pineapple Express' and 'Superbad,' this will be right up your alley (especially since they're behind the camera this time around).

The second clip isn't nearly as funny: Rogen and Baruchel give personal testimonies straight to a video camera, discussing the various hardships they're facing while we cut to all kinds of mayhem and weirdness. It's amusing, but it's material that feels like it will work better in the finished film.

'This Is the End' hits theaters on June 12.
