Transformers: The Last Knight

Transformers: The Last Knight is bringing back some familiar faces to add to the growing cast list that already includes Anthony Hopkins, Santiago Cabrera, and Liam Garrigan, who was just cast as King Arthur. Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson are all returning, and they’re bringing along Stanley Tucci, who played Joshua Joyce in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Michael Bay is a simple guy. He likes lots of explosions, frequent cutting, and keeping the audience as close to the action as humanly possible. So when digital camera company RED approached the director about designing his own promotional rig, of course it would be handheld, and of course it would be named “Bayhem”. What’s the point in being one of the world’s leading experts in cinematic destruction if you can’t have a little fun with yourself every now and then?

All those rumors and speculation have turned out to be true: Transformers: The Last Knight will indeed feature the King Arthur legend in some capacity, and they’ve found their Arthur. Liam Garrigan will play the Once and Future King, a role he’s quite comfortable with, seeing as he plays the same character on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Hopefully this doesn't mean he’ll end up in some niche typecasting hell, unable to find work until someone decides to reboot Excalibur or Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Transformers: The Last Knight, the latest in the Hasbro franchise, has been in production for a while, but Michael Bay and co. have mostly kept all plot details under wraps. One rumor made its way to the surface a few months ago, but it wasn't until today that it was pretty much confirmed. This could get a little spoiler-y, so proceed at your own risk.

Autobots, assemble! Over the past few days, Paramount Pictures has released new images on their Facebook page for a handful of the new autobots in Transformers: The Last Knight. While I’m certainly no stranger to animated ’80s and ’80s television shows, I have to admit, Transformers was never my thing. Despite regular photo updates from Michael Bay, we still don’t know much about the plot for Transformers: The Last Knight. We do know that the next installment in the franchise features some new and returning faces — both human and bot — and…that’s about it. But the first official poster for the upcoming sequel may offer a clue — kind of. Sort of. Well, it involves dragons, apparently.

Although he’s yet to reveal any specific plot details, Bay has kept fans up to date with the growing roster of characters, which now includes a Decepticon you might remember from the original Transformers cartoon series.

In addition to recent images revealing upgrades for Bumblebee and Barricade, Michael Bay has unveiled another look at a robot character from Transformers: The Last Knight — but this isn’t one you’ve seen before. The latest photo reveals a brand new, original Autobot created specifically for the upcoming sequel, and he’s got a pretty adorable name.
