Many times in the past year we've heard about The CW attempting to capitol-ize (heh) on the teen success of blockbuster franchise 'The Hunger Games,' first developing multiple iterations of the futuristic competition drama 'The Selection,' and this coming summer with reality competition series 'Capture' (which was originally named 'The Hunt'). The first official trailer for 'Capture' has hit the net, but are the odds ever in its favor?

Debuting July 31 on The CW, 'Capture' certainly feasts on 'The Hunger Games' right down to the very bone, outfitting its two-person team contestants with familiar garb as the pairs race across unfamiliar landscapes and attempt to evade obstacles both natural and manmade.

From The CW's official description of 'Capture':

In this intense new wilderness competition, 12 teams of 2 will enter a fenced-in enclosure in the middle of the wild, where they must live for one month and compete against each other for scarce resources. With $250,000 on the line, it's a winner-take-all battle in which the teams must hunt each other down to survive. Executive produced by David Garfinkle ("Ready for Love"), Jay Renfroe ("Ready for Love") and Greg Goldman ("Ready for Love"), CAPTURE is from Renegade 83 and Blackbird Television in association with Warner Horizon Television.

Ten bucks says the winning teammates are granted the opportunity to betray one another in order to claim the ultimate prize. Staged makeouts and assisted suicides optional, of course.

In any case, check out the first trailer for The CW's 'Capture' above, and tell us in the comments if you'll tune in for the new 'Hunger Games'-style series on July 31!
