LEGO recreations of trailers and scenes from films are often pretty fun to watch, though they’re not always of the best quality, as fans rush to complete and reveal their projects before someone else beats them to the punch. That’s not the case with Morgan Spence, a 15-year-old kid from Scotland whose LEGO recreations of famous movie scenes are really top notch. His latest project recreates the famous funeral scene from Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel—not the typical film you’d expect to see LEGO form, but once you do, you’ll be quite charmed.

Spence appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he exclusively debuted his latest LEGO masterpiece. His stop-motion LEGO shorts are expertly crafted, and much smoother than others we’ve seen. His new LEGO short is a remake of the scene from The Grand Budapest Hotel in which Ralph Fiennes and his protege attempt to visit the funeral of Tilda Swinton’s character, only to encounter her devious family members who will prove to be obstacles throughout the film.

The clip also shows off some of Spence’s other excellent works, like recreations of scenes from E.T, The Shining, Dirty Dancing, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s—these are all films (with the exception of E.T., perhaps) that not many people would think to see recreated with LEGOs, but that’s part of why they’re so brilliant. We typically see LEGO recreations of major blockbuster properties like Star Wars and Marvel films, but Spence shows off how these classic films can also translate well to the medium.
