Paul Thomas Anderson's 'The Master' hits theaters on September 14, where it will become the first horse to show in 2012's Oscar race (though with the five to ten possible best picture nominees, it's possible that 'The Dark Knight Rises' or 'The Avengers' could slip in there), there have been a number of previews and clips that have hit online, and it's looks like we now have the film's last trailer.

Here's the film's synopsis:

A charismatic man (Philip Seymour Hoffman) returns home to America from World War II and forms a faith-based organization. He is now known as “the Master” and his belief system is catching on. As the group is gaining momentum and adding new converts, a young drifter (Joaquin Phoenix) arrives and becomes the Master’s invaluable aid.

The films stars Phoenix, Hoffman, Amy Adams and Jesse Plemons, who is coming off a memorable supporting turn on 'Breaking Bad' this season. At this point we just want the movie already, as word out of the early screenings has been nothing but glowing. But after 'Hard Eight,' 'Boogie Nights,' 'Magnolia,' Punch-Drunk Love' and 'There Will Be Blood,'it's easy to understand why we're excited for a new film by Paul Thomas Anderson.
