‘The Office’ Season 9 Spoilers: Who’s Getting Married?
In just a few weeks time we'll be back in the swing of fall TV, and ready to answer all of the burning questions left by fall's biggest cliffhangers. 'The Office' in particular faces an uphill year, hopefully reclaiming some of the show's goodwill in its final season that was lost in last year's post-Michael Scott outing. But with so many new and old developments crowding 'The Office' season 9, what big twists are in store? Who's getting married, and whose relationship might it threaten?
With just weeks to go before its September 20 premiere, 'The Office' season 9 is beginning to take shape. NBC has released the first official episode description of the show's final season premiere, detailing what we'll see from the new characters being introduced into the mix. Will Jim and Dwight be replaced by new arrivals Clark Duke and Jim Lacy? Will Andy finally get his act together? According to the release:
THE OFFICE BEGINS ITS FINAL SEASON.
Jim (John Krasinski) and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) are thrown off balance by the arrival of two young employees (Clark Duke and Jake Lacy) that the others dub "the new Jim" and "Dwight, Jr." Andy (Ed Helms) comes back from Outward Bound leadership training with a desire for vengeance on Nellie (Catherine Tate). Will Oscar (Oscar Nunez) adopt Angela’s (Angela Kinsey) cat? Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) saves a turtle.
But that's not all! It turns out a trip down memory lane might be a rocky road for Jim and Pam, as the season's second episode will see returning guest star Roy (David Denman)'s wedding bringing a few skeletons out of the closet for everyone's favorite 'Office' couple. Being the last season, might we finally see some real heartbreak for Jim and Pam following years of wedded bliss?
A toast at Roy's wedding leads to Pam and Jim searching their relationships for buried secrets; Dwight reacts to Nellie's mandatory charity initiative.
