The Overnight was a big hit at both Sundance and SXSW this year, and pretty soon you’ll be able to see why for yourself. The new comedy starring Adam Scott and Jason Schwartzman has delivered an official trailer, inviting you to witness what might be the most hilariously uncomfortable dinner party in the history of uncomfortable dinner parties.

Scott co-stars with Orange Is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling as a married couple who move to a new neighborhood with their kid, where they’re all invited over to the home of a charming couple for a playdate/dinner. But dinner quickly devolves into something exceedingly awkward, as their new friends reveal themselves to be more than a little — how do you say — forward.

Schwartzman and Judith Godreche play the quirky couple, and from what I’ve read in interviews and reviews, there’s a seriously hilarious sequence involving Schwartzman, Scott and a couple of very absurd prosthetics.

Alex, Emily, and their son, RJ, have recently moved to Los Angeles’ Eastside from Seattle. Feeling lost in a new city, they are desperate to find their first new friends. After a chance meeting with Kurt at the neighborhood park, they gladly agree to join family pizza night at the home. But as it gets later and the kids go to bed, the family “playdate” becomes increasingly more revealing and bizarre as the couples begin to open up.

The Overnight will have a limited theatrical release on June 19.
