It's been a good long while since we've heard anything from 'The Vampire Diaries' upcoming fifth season, but now it seems in advance of next week's Comic-Con 2013 panel, the details have begun to trickle out. The Mystic Falls series had added two mysterious new players to the fifth season in the form of Russian model-actress Olga Fonda and 'Greek' star Kendrick Sampson, but who will the new stars play?

Via TVLine, Fonda will play the "fearless, worldly, guarded and vengeance-seeking" Nadia, who follows Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Matt (Zach Roerig) back to Mystic Falls. “An emotional chameleon, she can flip from stone-cold to flirtatious as it suits her needs. But the loneliness of her singular quest has taken its toll on her humanity, and she finds herself increasingly lost when it comes to genuine human connection.”

Meanwhile TVGuide reveals that Sampson will take the roll of Jesse, a fellow student who Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) meet on their first day at Whitmore College, and who catches catches Caroline's eye.

The cast and crew of 'The Vampire Diaries' will be on hand next week to give the scoop on season 5, as well as news of the Klaus-centric spinoff series 'The Originals,' but what say you, 'Vampire Diaries' fans? Are you intrigued to see what the latest characters bring to Mystic Falls this...well, fall?
