Production is gearing up on The Wolverine 2, which is assembling a respectable supporting cast for Hugh Jackman’s final outing as the iconic superhero. In addition to the recent casting of NarcosBoyd Holbrook, the sequel has added two more stars to the lineup, with Richard E. Grant and Stephen Merchant joining Jackman’s farewell to the the famous mutant.

Deadline reports that Stephen Merchant has joined the sequel, with The Wolverine director James Mangold returning to helm from a screenplay by David James Kelly. Merchant is best known for his work with Ricky Gervais on The Office and Life’s Too Short (among others), as well as the tragically short-lived HBO series Hello Ladies. The actor’s role in The Wolverine 2 is currently unknown, but given his comedic talents, it might be nice to see him serve as a foil to Jackman’s typically gruff Logan.

Meanwhile, THR reports the casting of another British actor, as Richard E. Grant has signed on to play a “villainous mad-scientist type” in the sequel. Grant’s many credits include roles in Withnail & I and Dracula, as well as appearances on Girls and Doctor Who. He can be seen next on Game of Thrones Season 6.

Plot details are scarce for The Wolverine 2, though it is said to be inspired (in part) by Mark Millar’s Old Man Logan comic book series, in which an aging Logan is pulled out of retirement to help an old friend. Liev Schreiber has been rumored to possibly reprise his role as Sabretooth, while another recent report suggested that X-23 could also appear.

The Wolverine 2 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
