Eidos Montreal has dropped a mini-bomb and announced that its upcoming game, Thief, will be making its way onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

In the video above, Eidos Montreal Community Manager Adam Badke sits down to talk with Stephane Roy, Senior Producer on Thief. Roy makes the announcement Thief will indeed be coming to current generation consoles, and that they will keep those projects at Eidos Montreal.

There will be no significant changes between the current generation and next-gen versions, except for some of the focus and planning in a few areas of the game.

Roy said that the visual quality in the current-gen versions shouldn't suffer, especially since the team at Eidos Montreal knows "exactly how to squeeze the last juice of power out of this platform."

He also promises that dogs will be making it to the current-gen, so we get to look forward to seeing Garrett play with pups. All versions of Thief are slated for a 2014 release, so we still have a while to wait. Until then, let us know which version of the game you'll be getting.
