Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's wildly successful stint hosting the 2013 Golden Globe awards led to all manner of speculation that the pair might be tasked to host other ceremonies, but why mess with success, really? After being informally asked back, Fey and Poehler have officially signed on to host the Golden Globes for the next two years, all the way through 2015.

“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business, and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” said NBC president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”

Initially, we were told that neither Fey nor Poehler signed deals locking them for anything beyond their 2013 stint hosting the 70th Annual Golden Globes, but considering the rave reviews and near 20 million viewers the pair attracted to NBC, the network and Golden Globes producer Dick Clark Productions clearly made it worth their while.

Not only that, but Fey’s newfound producer’s role with NBC and Amy Poehler’s continued presence on ‘Parks and Recreation' might have complicated matters, but limited preparations required for Golden Globes hosts (vs. three months for the Oscars) again worked in our favor. The enduring popularity of the two ladies also saw their act reprised during the opening of the 2013 Emmy Awards with Neil Patrick Harris, an early highlight of the show.

The 2014 Golden Globe nominations should arrive in December, so in the meantime check out some highlights from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s hosting gigs below, and tell us in the comments what you think of Fey and Poehler sticking with the Golden Globes until 2015!
