Clever, we know.  We'd more or less forgotten that the 'Transporter' coming to Cinemax as a 12-episode TV series was even a thing, considering the last major news we heard was the show casting Chris Vance as its eponymous driver in May of 2011, followed by an on-set injury and a number of creative overhauls.  Even the release of the series' first trailer seems curiously quite all things considered, but without further ado...'Transporter!'  It has cars.

Production has finally completed on the Cinemax TV adaptation of Jason Statham's classic film series 'Transporter,' featuring Chris Vance in the iconic role instead, and you know what that means: it's trailer time!  Set in an all-new continuity from the Jason Statham movies, the 'Transporter' TV series is...well, there are cars, criminals and...dames.  We'll say dames.

Executive produced by director Luc Besson and produced by French company Atlantique, 'Transporter' marks the third of Cinemax's efforts into original TV series, following action series 'Strike Back' and 'Femme Fatales.'  Joining Vance is actress Andrea Osvart playing Frank's handler Carla, an "extremely crafty former CIA operative who organizes his missions, acts as his eyes and ears on the outside, and continually stokes the flames of their unrequited attraction."

Last we heard, the series was due for debut on Cinemax in October.  Check out the trailer below, and tell us what you think of 'Transporter!'
