"Thank you for being a friend, traveled down the road and back again..." And so begins the theme to 'The Golden Girls,' performed by Cynthia Fee. The show, which ran from 1985 to 1992, told the story of four older women who share a house together in Florida and the very special friendship they have. There's the eccentric widow Blanche (Rue McClanahan), fellow widow and bubbly personality Rose (Betty White), and the divorced and snarky Dorothy (Bea Arthur). Dorothy's feisty mother Sophia (Estelle Getty) joins them when her retirement home burns down and all together they make for quite the hilarious quartet.
