30. ‘Good Times’

The theme for 'Good Times,' by Jim Gilstrap and Blinky Williams, is an ironic one, as it lists the various things that go wrong in life, followed by the titular refrain of 'Good Times.' A spin-off of 'Maude,' 'Good Times' follows the Evans family in their rented apartment in a housing project, and the series was a landmark one, showing a black family living in poverty -- something that had never been portrayed with such honesty on television before.
