‘The Walking Dead’ Season 3 Premiere: Twitter Reacts!

Hey, did you hear that ‘The Walking Dead‘ came back for its third season tonight? And that it’s still not available on Dish?

Of course, anyone with a Twitter feed and an internet connection knew that AMC’s massively popular horror drama was returning tonight — this is the kind of news that you just can’t get away from even if you try. For better or worse, ‘The Walking Dead’ is one of the major players on the modern cultural landscape. That’s why we decided to keep an eye on Twitter this evening and see what the viewers (and some of the professional critics) thought. Did they like it? Did they hate it? Did they…um, something else? And most importantly: who is functionally literate and who isn’t?

Noah Lee (@noahphex): Watching the season premiere of Walking Dead season three. It’s off to a decent start. I have hope they do good this season

Eric Vespe (@EricVespe): For the first time The Walking Dead universe feels hopelessly overrun with zombies. Helluva start to the season!

K.L (@ricesushi02): Wow @walkingdead_amc …what just happened. Crazy episode. Great premiere.

(@DrSwizzo): Walking Dead is cray

Dream✨ (@LiveLife_1111): omg that walking dead episode was epic

(@GarrettDailey14): I hate @walkingdead_amc for ending episodes like that, but I love them at the same time.

Aaron Morgan (@Aaron_Morgan): Good first episode. Not great, but good. Set up a lot of stuff early. #walkingdead

StuffFratPeopleLike (@StuffFratsLike): 80 dead zombies in episode one (I made my little brother count). Well played, Walking Dead, well played.

Diana Kochetkova (@dianakochetkova): That episode of Walking Dead just got me SO pumped. I wanna watch the next episode NOW.

Ben Saydee (@DrSaydee508): ts only a matter of time before the black guy dies #WalkingDead

MC Roy (@realmccoy1994): The walking dead sucks

Scott Weinberg (@scottEweinberg): I can’t be the only one who sees the irony in Walking Dead fans spoiling every single moment of the premiere for everyone else.

Justin Cook (@Jcook_8): Why the hell just happened? #walkingdead

Devin Faraci (@devincf): A thought: most people who watched WALKING DEAD tonight have never seen DAY OF THE DEAD.

JurassicGriffin (@JurassicGriffin): The Walking Dead feels a whole lot better without a certain character. So glad that character is gone.

Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn): I can’t see any of the stuff you guys are talking about. Wait, you’re live tweeting The Walking Dead, not Cupcake Wars Halloween? Oh. Ok nm.

Jacob Beard (@BeardHD): What is this Walking Dead everyone speaks of?

Joseph witt (@Joseph_witt3): If all u guys are gonna tweet about is the walking dead then all I’m gonna tweet about is easy A

Rachel Bourgeois (@rayboooo): I think people must like this Walking Dead show?
