Last night during 'The Voice', Universal debuted a brand new TV spot for 'Snow White and the Huntsman.'  It's a powerful new commercial that is doing a very good job distancing this Snow White film from 'Mirror, Mirror.'  But what is that song playing throughout the commercial?  Let's investigate!

It's no coincidence that this 'Snow White and the Huntsman' debuted during 'The Voice' this week, which had Florence + The Machine as guests. Florence + The Machine just so happened to contribute a brand new song to the 'Snow White and the Hunstman' soundtrack - "Breath of Life" - and that's what you're hearing in the commercial.

Lest you think this is just some throwaway track, passed along to the film's soundtrack, think again.  Singer Florence Welch wrote the song specifically for the film and says it's inspired by Charlize Theron's portrayal of The Evil Queen.  Says Welch:

"The Queen is just this incredible character; so hungry for life but so dead inside. She's sort of eternal, but inside there's nothing. She's kind of like charcoal or something. She has this thirst for youth and for life, but for what kind of life? This darkness, but she's so beautiful, so it's this kind of juxtaposition between beauty and, ultimately, death."

Though the soundtrack won't be released until May 29th, we've got a copy of "Breath of Life" by Florence + The Machine that you can listen to right now!  Click below to stream the new song as well as watch the new TV spot for 'Snow White and the Huntsman' which hits theaters on June 1.
