The two previous 'Wolverine' trailers were...not good, to put it mildly. What should've gotten fans excited for one of this summer's biggest superhero movies instead had them nervous -- this isn't going to be another 'X-Men Origins' is it? Today, we have a new Japanese trailer for 'The Wolverine' and does it promise a better film than the original trailers? Let's find out.

Here's the good news: 'The Wolverine' (titled 'Wolverine: Samurai' in Japan) Japanese trailer is a marked improvement over the original two trailers. This, perhaps, is faint praise considering how disappointing those original two 'Wolverine trailers were but it is an improvement.

The bad news?

It still doesn't look great yet. While the edit is an overall improvement and much of the new footage looks good, there's still the bullet train sequence, which looks laughably bad and a plot that doesn't make much sense (If Wolverine no longer wants his mutant powers, why doesn't he just take the anti-mutant serum? Why is he traveling all the way to Japan?).

But here's the rub. We love Wolverine. He's one of the all-time great comic characters; in our opinion, right up there with Spider-Man and the like. We want a great 'Wolverine' movie so we'll remain optimistic and hope we're just seeing a glimpse of what the movie actually has to offer.
