Although we were a bit underwhelmed by Woody Allen’s last film, ‘Magic in the Moonlight,’ we—much like the fictional characters in the film, and humanity as a whole—were still charmed to pieces by Emma Stone’s performance. Stone is reteaming with Allen for his next film, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix and, based on the cast alone, seems fairly promising. We haven’t known much about his upcoming project, but it now has an official title: ‘Irrational Man.’

THR reports that Sony Pictures Classics, which has handled the release of seven of Allen’s previous films, will also distribute ‘Irrational Man’—which totally sounds like a title that could describe the majority of Allen’s projects. The film centers on a college professor in the midst of an existential crisis, whose life begins to improve when he enters into a relationship with one of his students. In addition to Stone and Phoenix, the film stars Parker Posey and Jamie Blackley. And anytime you have Parker Posey involved, you know you’re in for a damn good time.

Allen’s last film, ‘Magic in the Moonlight,’ hit theaters last summer and proved to be one of his lesser films in recent memory. It wasn’t necessarily bad—it was charming and cute and relaxing to watch, but it offered little substance, unlike his previous film, ‘Blue Jasmine,’ which earned three Oscar nominations and a Best Actress statue for the incredible, incomparable Cate Blanchett.

Here’s hoping for great things from ‘Irrational Man,’ which will hit theaters sometime this year.
