Superhero movies are notorious for their secrecy. Plot details are closely guarded, scripts are printed on dark red paper and actors are shuffled to and from set in long cloaks to prevent paparazzi photos. But, as has been proven, leaks will happen, often from the least likely of places. In a related story, the plot of X-Men: Apocalypse has been revealed…by M&Ms.

Today, M&Ms announced a partnership with X-Men: Apocalypse to do…something? We’re not 100% sure yet. The press release says, “Who doesn’t love M&M’S and their hilarious band of characters?” and what better way to promote that “hilarious” bag of candy by pairing it with the most dour group of superheroes. Regardless of the why behind this candy/movie partnership, the candy company revealed the first X-Men: Apocalypse plot synopsis.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.

Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

If you’ve been paying attention to the photos and footage revealed so far, nothing super surprising here. It is interesting to note that Fox just cannot commit to having Jennifer Lawrence, one of the most well-liked actresses in Hollywood, playing a villain, so they’ve ret-conned Mystique into being the star of the film. And, with Hugh Jackman gone, it’s not a huge shock. We just wish they had faith to make the film more about the characters than about the stars. (Also, is it weird to think that X-Men: Apocalypse could star two actors nominated for Oscars this year?)

If that’s not enough for you and you just demand more, we will leave you with this image.
