It seems like a whole lot of you just can’t wait to see Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele steam up the big screen next month in ‘50 Shades of Grey.’ Online movie ticket retailer Fandango has just announced that the film is the fastest-selling R-rated feature in their 15-year history, having now sold more advance tickets in the first week of availability than ‘Sex and the City 2.’ In related news: a whole lot of you bought advance tickets to see ‘Sex and the City 2.’

‘50 Shades of Grey,’ which recently received an R-rating from the MPAA for graphic nudity, sexual content, and “some unusual behaviors,” is selling tickets faster than you can slap a pair of handcuffs on someone you’d like to do that to (significant other, annoying neighbor, bank robber, etc.). Tickets are already on sale in advance of the film’s February release, as theaters continue to add screenings of the highly-anticipated adaptation of the wildly popular ‘Twilight’ fan fiction erotic novel.

Fandango announced today via a press release that the film is now the fastest-selling R-rated movie in the site’s history. Here are the site’s top five R-rated advance ticket-sellers:

  1. ‘50 Shades of Grey’
  2. ‘Sex and the City 2'
  3. ‘The Hangover Part 2'
  4. ‘The Hangover Part 3'
  5. ‘Gone Girl’

The film is also having the most successful first week of ticket sales since another wildly popular adaptation—the first installment of ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise, which hit theaters in 2012. That film still holds the records for the biggest first week in ticket sales for all films in the site’s history.

Not long ago, we reported on the results of Fandango’s consumer poll for the most anticipated films of 2015, and while there were some predictable titles on there like ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ we were pretty shocked to discover that ‘50 Shades of Grey’ landed in the fourth spot in the top five, outranking ‘Jurassic World.’ That’s right: people are more excited about watching Jamie Dornan’s sexy, weird, private helicopter-owning millionaire tie Dakota Johnson up than they are about seeing Chris Pratt—the biggest star of 2014—hang out with some velociraptors.

‘50 Shades of Grey’ hits theaters on February 13, when apparently every person and their mother (especially their mothers) will see it.
