Arnold Schwarzenegger Wants an Apology (and Maybe Some Revenge) in the ‘Aftermath’ Trailer
If there’s anyone you don’t want to piss off, it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you’re delivering pizza to his house, don’t forget the bread sticks. If there’s one parking space left at the mall, you better give it to Arnold. And if you’re the air traffic controller in charge of making sure a plane holding his wife and kid lands safely, you better not screw up. Too bad Scoot McNairy didn’t get the memo.
In Aftermath Schwarznegger plays Viktor, a man who loses his wife and daughter in a plane crash. When lawyers try to appease his grief with money, he refuses and demands an apology from the person responsible for the collision. Turns out that person is McNairy’s Paul Bonanos, who is told to flee and change his identity to avoid the angry media. But this is Arnold we’re talking about here. Change your name, your hair color, hell, get facial reconstruction surgery if you want; he’ll still find you.
Aftermath, which was originally titled 478, is directed by Elliott Lester (Blitz, HBO’s Nightingale and produced by Darren Aronofsky. The film is inspired by Vitaly Kaloyev, a Russian man who sought vengeance against an air traffic controller after his family died in a crash. (Check out the guy’s Wikipedia if you want a spoiler on what happens, if it’s not obvious enough.) Or wait till it hits theaters April 7.
