Amazon’s ‘Sneaky Pete’ Cons its Way Into Season 2
You’d be forgiven to have not seen Amazon’s Sneaky Pete just yet, given its Amazon premiere this past Friday, original conception as a CBS show and multi-year development. Still, the new con man drama from the minds and stars of Justified is sneaking by with a second season, Bryan Cranston or no.
Amazon confirmed that Sneaky Pete will return for a second season, having become the video service’s second most streamed original scripted series on opening day, just behind The Man in the High Castle. The series was co-created and executive produced by (don’t forget starring) Bryan Cranston, with Justified boss Graham Yost leading as showrunner.
In addition to Cranston’s villainous role, Sneaky Pete features a cast led by Giovanni Ribisi, along with Marin Ireland, Peter Gerety, Karolina Wydra, Ethan Embry, Libe Barer, Shane McRae, Michael Drayer, and Character Actress Margo Martindale. Said Amazon of the renewal:
Bryan Cranston and Graham Yost have done a masterful job of steering the cast to fantastic performances. Both the critical response and our customers’ engagement with the series are key factors in our enthusiasm to bring our audience a second season of Sneaky Pete.
In the meantime, all episodes are available to stream on Amazon. Watch the trailer below.
